I want Biden to get re-elected. If too many people vote for Yang, a Republican could end up in the White House instead.
However, we should probably start implementing city- and statewide Universal Basic Income (UBI) programs. If we do this until 2028 (when Biden’s 8 years are up), we can elect Yang or a normal Democrat (not a “Forward Democrat” or third-party candidate who leans towards supporting the Democratic Party, like I think I remember Yang saying he is).
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is advancing faster than ever and is almost ready to take over a lot of people’s jobs. I’m worried that 2028 might even be waiting too long. If we push to make citywide and statewide Universal Basic Income popular now, it will eventually be enough to make a UBI-supporting candidate president.
I feel like this is the best strategy for the Democrats at this point in time.
